Phantoms have confirmed that top points scorer Darius Pliskauskas will miss the start of the NIHL divisional play-off campaign after sustaining an injury late in last Saturday’s home game with Streatham.
Phantoms coach Slava Koulikov is not revealing too much about the extent of the damage, simply calling it a “lower body injury” …… which presumably means a leg injury !
Phantoms face Milton Keynes Thunder in the quarter-finals this weekend with the home leg on Saturday. Coach Koulikov remains confident that Phantoms can progress despite the loss of Pliskauskas, “we have a good roster and I’m sure that other guys will step up”.
