Saturday: Phantoms v Romford Raiders – Face-Off 7:00pm
What’s at Stake ?
Phantoms looking to maintain their record of being the only NIHL1 South team to be unbeaten in regulation time. Raiders trying to rediscover form after a poor run of results.
Current Form ?
Romford Players to Watch ?
The only ex-Phantom on the team is experienced D-man Julian Smith.
Top scorer is Jake Sylvester who is 8+7 from 11 games but import Juraj Huska will be one for Phantoms to keep quiet.
What to Expect ?
Raiders got off to a very decent start to their season which included a 3-2 win over Phantoms at Bretton but they’ve hit a poor patch of late, losing five of their last six games going into their narrow 3-2 win in Milton Keynes last Sunday. Three of those defeats were only by a single goal but they are a team who are leaking way too many goals and taking way too many penalties so if Phantoms maintain their strong defensive and discipline records then it will, once again, come down to us converting chances up front.
Phantoms are on a roll and, going on last weekend, they know where the net is so 5-2 Phantoms in this one !
