Sunday Lowdown – Phantoms v Invicta

Fixture

Sunday:  Phantoms v Invicta Dynamos – Face-Off 5:30pm

Competition ?

NIHL1 South + NIHL Cup Qualifying

What’s at Stake ?

The fixture once again doubles up as a league fixture and a qualifying game in the NIHL Cup where Phantoms are currently two wins from two.

Current Form ?

Phantoms:  WDWWW

Invicta:  LLLLL

Invicta Players to Watch ?

Familiar faces include ex-Phantoms Adam Long in goal, Andy Munroe on D and Martins Susters up front.

No surprises that Martins Susters tops the Invicta stats with 4+3 in his 8 league games !

What to Expect ?

Invicta put together a decent and competitive roster over the summer, including two imports, but have since struggled with both imports missing games through injury and/or “manflu” while their exciting signing of the infamous but talented Bartlett brothers lasted only four games before the twins headed back to Dad at Chelmsford for another season of coasting to trophy success and one-sided scorelines ….. a shame for both Invicta and NIHL1.

The Mos problem once again is not lack of talent but lack of numbers with barely two lines icing in recent games so this should be an opportunity for Phantoms to run up a decent score.
