Bad Day for Haringey as Phantoms 2 hit 10 !

Phantoms 2 bounced back into the top four of NIHL South 2 tonight with a thumping 10-2 home victory over the visiting Huskies of Haringey.

An end-to-end opening period suggested little of what was to come with goals from Taylor Romeo and Conor Pollard proving the only difference at the first break. A second goal from Pollard and a powerplay marker from Connor Hunter saw Phantoms leading 4-0 at the game’s midpoint but two lapses of concentration saw the Huskies strike twice in just over three minutes for an unlikely 4-2 scoreline.

Any hopes of a fight back from the visitors were ended straight from the restart as Connor Stokes fired home followed by a Jack Sansby marker to finish the middle period 6-2 in Phantoms favour.

With the Huskies struggling to keep pace with Phantoms longer bench, the final period was all one way traffic as Pollard completed his hat-trick followed by further goals from Moore, Stokes and Herring to seal a comfortable 10-2 victory.

Beers deservedly went to hat-trick man Conor Pollard and Phantoms2 will be next in action on the road next Sunday against 5th placed Guildford.
