In the only home fixture for our three senior sides this weekend, Cardiff Comets will be travelling up to take on our girls, the Penguins, in a 6:15pm face-off on Sunday ….. and it should be an excellent game.
The Comets lowly position in the league table is misleading as they have had to play their first five fixtures on the road, drawing one in a 0-0 draw in Oxford and losing the other four but they have run every team very close including a tight 1-2 defeat at high flying Swindon who they drew 2-2 with last weekend in their first home-ice fixture.
With only 16 goals conceded in 6 games, the Comets have a strong D which they are going to need because Penguins have nailed 16 goals in their three home games in Bretton to date and are unbeaten at home ……. this one could be fun !
